چکیده

We characterize those subsets S of the positive integers with the property that, whenever a point x in a dynamical system enters a compact set K along S, K contains a recurrent point. We do the same for uniform recurrence. Let X denote a (compact) metric space and f : X → X a continuous map. We will use the term (compact) dynamical system to refer to such a pair (X, f) . As usual, we write f for the n-fold composition of f with itself and N for the set of all positive integers. Let R (f) denote the set of recurrent points of f. That is, R (f) = {x ∈ X | for some sequence of integers nk →∞, fk (x)→ x} . A well-known theorem (whose origin we have been unable to determine) states the following: Theorem 1. If (X, f) is a compact dynamical system and U an open set containing R (f) , then for all x ∈ X,

THE CHAIN PROPERTIES AND LI-YORKE SENSITIVITY OF ZADEH'S EXTENSION ON THE SPACE OF UPPER SEMI-CONTINUOUS FUZZY SETS

Some characterizations on the chain recurrence, chain transitivity, chain mixing property, shadowing and $h$-shadowing for Zadeh's extension are obtained. Besides, it is provedthat a dynamical system is spatiotemporally chaotic provided that the Zadeh's extensionis Li-Yorke sensitive.

Effect of Fatigue on Ground Reaction Force Variables During Single-leg Landing in Athletes With the History of Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury

Introduction: Since people experience fatigue after anterior cruciate ligament injury during exercises, it is important to understand how fatigue affects the biomechanical movement patterns. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effect of fatigue on ground reaction force variables during single-leg landing in athletes with a history of an anterior cruciate ligament spr...

Intersections of Sets of Distance

We isolate conditions on the relative asymptotic size of sets of natural numbers A,B that guarantee a nonempty intersection of the corresponding sets of distances. Such conditions apply to a large class of zero density sets. We also show that a variant of Khintchine’s Recurrence Theorem holds for all infinite sets A = {a1 < a2 < . . .} where ann n3/2.

Refolding of Lysozyme Upon Interaction with ?-Cyclodextrin

Effects of ?-cyclodextrin, ?CD, on refolding of lysozyme was investigated at pH 12 employing isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) at 300K in 30mM Tris buffer solution. ?CD was employed as an anti-aggregation agent and the heats obtained for lysozyme+?CD interactions are reported and analyzed in terms of the extended solvation model. It was indicated that there are two sets of identical and no...

Independent sets in chain cacti

In this paper chain cacti are considered. First, for two specific classes of chain cacti (orto-chains and meta-chains of cycles with h vertices) the recurrence relation for independence polynomial is derived. That recurrence relation is then used in deriving explicit expressions for independence number and number of maximum independent sets for such chains. Also, the recurrence relation for tot...

Sets, Lists and Noncrossing Partitions

Partitions of [n] = {1, 2, . . . , n} into sets of lists are counted by sequence A000262 in the On-Line Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences. They are somewhat less numerous than partitions of [n] into lists of sets, A000670. Here we observe that the former are actually equinumerous with partitions of [n] into lists of noncrossing sets and give a bijective proof. We show too that partitions of [n]...
